
Danielle Shariff
Doctoral Research Assistant
Danielle Shariff is a Doctoral Research Assistant at DIBI and a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at Northeastern University. Danielle graduated with a B.A. in Criminology, Law and Society, and Education Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. Prior to Northeastern, Danielle worked on the Disrupting Racism project at UC Irvine with the Center for Racial Justice in Education. Funded by the Institute of Education Sciences, Danielle was also a Research Fellow in the Career Pathways for Research in Learning, Education and Data Science (CP-LEADS) Program. Her research has focused on political engagement and the computational modeling of language. Particularly, she leverages computational social science practices to study how international human rights issues are understood, discussed, and portrayed in society as a whole. Involved in the Society for Text & Discourse, and dedicated to global human rights collectives, Danielle contributes to meaningful efforts aimed at safeguarding international human rights law.
