Nipun Jayakumar

Graduate Research Assistant

Nipun is a Graduate Research Assistant with the Defense Industrial Base Institute (DIBI) at Northeastern University, where he is pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Rutgers University. During the pandemic, Nipun contributed to COVID-19 research at Rutgers before transitioning to corporate law as a paralegal. His interdisciplinary background now informs his work in machine learning, where he focuses on data organization and research toward impact measurement projects and streamlining workforce initiatives for the Maritime Industrial Base (MIB). At DIBI, Nipun leverages his unique combination of policy expertise and technical skills to support data-driven solutions for defense-related research.
